PLAINFIELD — Authorities here are working to identify a driver who was killed in a car accident early Sunday morning.
The accident occurred at about 3 a.m. at County Road 300 South and Center St.
Officers say the driver veered off the road, hit a tree and a sign, and flipped over. When deputies arrived on the scene, they found the car on its top, completely engulfed in flames.
Investigators believe speed was a factor in the accident and are working to identify the driver.
