First multi-employer medical center opens

INDIANAPOLIS — Comlux USA, located on the grounds of the Indianapolis International Airport, has launched another benefit for its expanding workforce: An onsite, multi-employer health and wellness center, providing acute and primary medical care services, generic medications, and lab work to Comlux employees and their dependents that participate in the Comlux health-care plan.

“Comlux has made a significant investment in our employees and the community by offering access to our on-site Primary Care Health and Wellness Center,” Jerry Crone, Comlux CFO, said in a press release. “Our goal is to enhance quality of life by helping our employees and our partners become healthier while simultaneously driving down health-care costs. I see this as a win-win for all participating parties.”

More employers are seeking innovative solutions to enhance employees’ health and wellness while managing escalating health-care costs. Comlux’s Multi-Employer Activate Health Care Medical Center is at 6404 Turner Drive, Suite 100. As an employer-sponsored health and wellness center, the cost of medical services is paid by the employer (Comlux) to improve healthy employee lifestyles.

Working with Indianapolis-based benefits brokers Apex Benefits, an employee benefits advisory firm, Comlux has been looking for ways to save money on escalating health-care costs for employees and their families, while still providing exceptional medical and wellness services. The health and wellness center helps lessen the financial cost while empowering employees to work with their health-care team to reduce health risks and lower health-care costs over the long-term.

This concept of a near or onsite clinic works because proactive health and wellness drives quality of life while also reducing unnecessary health-care cost.”
