IU Health West welcomes new surgeon

Hendricks County Flyer

---- — AVON — Indiana University Health West Hospital has a new surgeon to help meet the growing orthopedic needs of the community.

Brian Keyes, D.O., joined the medical staff at IU Health West Hospital on Oct. 7.

“Every patient wants a physician that is compassionate and who will listen to their needs,” Keyes said. “They also want a physician who is well trained to provide them with excellent care. I strive for comprehensive patient care that involves integrating patient wishes and needs with the most current medical treatments. This requires a team approach centered on the patient. From conservative, non-surgical options to innovative surgical procedures, I strive to offer patients the most complete care they deserve.”

Keyes attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison for his undergraduate degree. He obtained his doctorate from Midwestern University in Chicago, and followed with an orthopedic residency at St. John Health System-DMC program in Detroit.

At Indiana University, Keyes completed a sub-specialty fellowship in total joint reconstruction. His practice focuses on total hip and knee replacement and revisions, partial joint replacements, orthopedic fracture care, computer assisted surgical navigation, and general orthopedics.
