Church hosting clothes drive

Northview Christian Church in Danville is hosting a Community Clothes Closet.

Collection times are from 9 to 11 a.m. Oct. 5 and from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 17. Donations may also be made by appointment by calling 745-5990.

Clothes should be dropped off at the storage shed near the gray barn at the church.

The church is at 623 N. S.R. 39.

Church offering addiction program

Brownsburg Baptist Church hosts an addiction program.

“Reformers Unanimous” meets from 7 to 9 p.m. each Friday at the church at 3331 N. C.R. 900 E.

There is no cost to attend.

Avon church hosts Fall Festival event

The Avon United Methodist Church will hold its annual Fall Festival from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 6 on the church grounds at 6850 U.S. 36, Avon.

The event is open to the community and free of charge.

There will be grilled hotdogs and hamburgers and other home-cooked dishes.

The festival will feature family activities like hot air balloon rides, carnival games, hayrides, and inflatable bouncers.

The Titus Band will also give a performance.

St. Malachy will host bingo event

St. Malachy Altar Society is sponsoring a Longaberger Basket Bingo event Sept. 29.

Bingo begins at 2 p.m. with doors opening at 1:30 p.m.

A basic bingo ticket is $10 at the door or $8 pre-sale. It includes 10 bingo games, two intermission games, and raffle tickets. A pre-sale bundle ticket costs $18 or a bundle packet at the door is $20. That bundle includes 10 bingo games, two intermission bingo games, and three raffle tickets.

To reserve pre-sale tickets, call Sara Foust at 809-4069.

Proceeds from the event will go to the St. Malachy Altar Society.
