INDIANAPOLIS — Site Selection has named Indy Partnership as the honorable mention winner for its 2012 Top Group award, an award that measures economic development groups across the nation.
“It’s a great tribute to the Indianapolis region to be named honorable mention for the Top Group award for Site Selection,” Marty Vanags, executive director and vice president for Indy Partnership, a business unit of the Indy Chamber, said in a press release. “The nine-county area that we represent works hard to prove that Indianapolis is the top region in the nation to expand and establish headquarters and this ranking only backs up that hard work.”
Site Selection editors look at all economic development organizations across the nation and judge them based on their excellence in the following categories: depth and breadth of economic growth, ability to generate break through deals, quantification of the host group’s contribution to those deals, overall economic vitality, and ability to document the corporate project activity.
Indy Partnership, a business unit of the Indy Chamber, is a privately-funded, non-profit organization dedicated to bringing new jobs and capital investment to the Indianapolis Region — nine central Indiana counties including Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Madison, Marion, Morgan, and Shelby counties. Indy Partnership offers services to businesses looking to expand or relocate, including point of contact for business development leads, incentives assistance, business research and demographic data, and regional marketing.
