Based on the beloved, timeless 1954 Paramount Pictures film of the same name, “White Christmas“ is a heartwarming stage musical adaptation featuring 17 Irving Berlin songs and a book by David Ives and Paul Blake. Many of the songs in the stage musical are from the movie version, along with many other Berlin classics.
Almost everyone knows the story — World War II veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis form a successful song-and-dance act, discover the Haynes Sisters, and follow them to a Vermont lodge that just happens to belong to their former Army commander. Information gets confused, information gets straightened out, and it snows. The singing and dancing score includes “Blue Skies,” “Count Your Blessings,” “I Love a Piano” and the bestselling single of all time, “White Christmas. “
“White Christmas” is an uplifting, full family musical that is sure to compliment the holiday season.
Footlite’s production is directed by Bob Harbin, who is known for his musical productions through BOBDIREX such as “Spamalot,” “Cabaret” and “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum,” to name a few. “White Christmas” marks Harbin’s first time directing at Footlite.
