Providence Cristo Rey board members announced

INDIANAPOLIS — Providence Cristo Rey High School in Indianapolis announced that John T. Mulheran, president of HCB Heartland, Inc., and attorney J.P. Hanlon have joined the school’s board of directors.

HCB Heartland is the management company responsible for Highland Capital Brokerage-Heartland, where Mulheran is the managing principal. HCB is an independent national life insurance distribution organization, serving brokers, financial advisors, and clients. Mulheran is a 35-year veteran of the life insurance industry. He holds CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) and ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant) designations from the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pa. He was a founding member and board chairman of Advantage Insurance Network (AIN) from 1995 to ‘99 and is a member of and active in numerous industry organizations, including the Association for Advanced Life Underwriting (AALU), National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), Society of Financial Services Professionals (SFSP), and a founder of The American College Endowment (ACE). He attended the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn., and is a founding major contributor to Providence Cristo Rey.

Hanlon is a partner with Faegre Baker Daniels, whose practice focuses on white collar criminal defense and internal investigations. He is an adjunct professor of law at Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis, a member of the Greater Indianapolis Progress Committee Board of Directors, and a former assistant U.S. attorney with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Indianapolis. He earned a bachelor’s degree from DePauw University and a juris doctorate from Valparaiso University School of Law, graduating magna cum laude. He formerly served on the board of Providence Cristo Rey from 2007 to ‘10, rejoining the board at the end of 2012.

Hanlon and Mulheran join attorney Craig D. Doyle, president of Doyle Legal Corporation, who joined the PCRHS board in mid-2012. Doyle practices in commercial civil litigation, particularly involving real estate matters. He represents numerous title insurance companies, banks, and mortgage companies, real estate developers, and other business entities. He is presently the primary litigation consultant for six title insurance companies covering the entire state of Indiana. He has authored numerous publications involving real estate matters, title insurance issues, foreclosure actions, and real estate development. Since 1995 he has been a member of the Indiana Real Estate Commission. He is also a member of the United States Foreclosure Network (USFN), MBA, GIMBA, ILTA, and ALTA. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in English from Indiana University, and a juris doctorate, cum laude, from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis. He is a former board member of the St. Thomas More Society.
