The Unitarian Universalist Community Church in Danville will offer an adult Credo discussion in the church fellowship hall at 9 a.m. Sept 1. Newcomers are always welcome.
Children participate in the adult worship service for the first 15 or 20 minutes, and then go to their religion education classes.
At 10 a.m., the church will present “Work as Spiritual Practice.” Congregants will share how they get spiritual fulfillment from their work.
Worship services at UUCC are varied in subject and in form and can include sermons, panel discussions, and congregational discussions on religious and moral issues, and intergenerational celebrations.

Church hosting fall concert series
Plainfield Christ Fellowship, 301 South Center St., will host two concerts as part of its Fall Concert Series.
Abe Parker Live in Concert will be Sept. 3. Tickets are $6 in advance or $10 at the door.
On Sept. 12, Jenny and Tyler with special guest Jake Ousley will make a visit. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door.
On the night of both concerts, doors open at 7 p.m. with the show starting at 7:30 p.m.

Rec leagues forming at church
Fall adult leagues are now forming at Plainfield Christian Church. Two adult basketball and volleyball leagues will be offered. On Mondays there will be an 18 and older full-court basketball league. The fee is $25 per person and the registration deadline is Sept. 16.
On Tuesdays there will be a 35 and older short-court basketball league. The fee is $25 per person and the registration deadline is Sept. 10. Additionally on Thursdays there will be two 15 and older co-ed volleyball leagues. The cost is $10 per player and the registration deadline is Sept. 10. One volleyball league is recreational and the other is a power league for more advanced players. Individual or team registrations will be considered for all leagues.

St. Malachy will host bingo event
St. Malachy Altar Society is sponsoring a Longaberger Basket Bingo event Sept. 29.
Bingo begins at 2 p.m. with doors opening at 1:30 p.m.
A basic bingo ticket is $10 at the door or $8 pre-sale. It includes 10 bingo games, two intermission games, and raffle tickets. A pre-sale bundle ticket costs $18 or a $20 bundle packet at the door. That bundle includes 10 bingo games, two intermission bingo games, and three raffle tickets.

Proceeds from the event will go to the St. Malachy Altar Society.
Bethesda Baptist changes service
The morning program times at Bethesda Baptist Church have changed.
Life Group will begin at 9:30 a.m. and continue until 10:30 a.m. The Worship Gathering will follow, beginning at 10:45 a.m. and continuing until noon.

Brownsburg Baptist Church hosts an addiction program.
“Reformers Unanimous” meets from 7 to 9 p.m. each Friday at the church at 3331 N. C.R. 900 E.

The congregation at White Lick Presbyterian Church invites all in the community to its “Coffee Conversations” from 9:40 to 10:20 a.m. each Sunday.

Plainfield Christian offering classes
Plainfield Christian Church, 800 Dan Jones Road, offers step aerobics fitness classes from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Classes are offered year-round and are free of charge. No pre-registration is necessary. Childcare is provided for ages 1 through 11 at $1 per child.
The classes are taught to contemporary Christian music. All equipment is provided, which includes light weights, exercise mats, and aerobic benches. A short devotion and prayer time starts each class. All fitness levels are encouraged to participate.
Additionally, a cardio-kickboxing class is offered from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Cardio-kickboxing classes are also offered year-round and are free.
Childcare is provided for $1 per child. No pre-registration is necessary.

Local church offering concert
Bible Church of Brownsburg’s Sunday Evening Fall Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. Sept. 8.
It will feature an evening concert with the Christian band Hello Industry. Hello Industry’s mission is to put meaningful music into the hands of people who are struggling.

Church holding rummage sale
The Unitarian Universalist Community Church will hold its annual rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 12 to 14 at the church’s Friendship Hall, 95 North Jefferson St., Danville.
Proceeds will be used to fund continuing community outreach programs.
