“As a team we are moving in the right direction,” Wallace said. “Individually the goal is to get better each time and that’s what Cierra, Alis, and our shot and discus throwers will add to our efforts so that we will keep heading in that direction.”
The colder weather has delayed the beginning of Ben Davis’ promising season but that does not allow time to relax and take any days off. The Giants will compete in their first meet against Pike April 9, where they will go up against the Red Devils and the Carmel Greyhounds.
“Pike will be a good first meet for our season,” Wallace said. “They have arguably the best group of sprinters and Carmel has the best distance runners, so we are going to find out next week where we are individually and as a team. That first meet is going to be a good indicator on how well our season will be.”
