Bartlett Chapel United Methodist Church is inviting the community to a Holiday Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 16 at the church at 4396 E. Main St., Avon.

The bazaar will include shopping for crafts, gifts, and more with more than 30 vendors, photos with Santa, and lunch served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The lunch menu consists of ham and beans with slaw, cornbread, cake and a drink, for a suggested donation of $5, or a hot dog, chips, applesauce, brownie, and a drink, for a suggested donation of $2.50.

Proceeds will be used to assist local families during the Christmas season.

Christ Lutheran holds chili dinner

The annual Living Christ Lutheran Dinner/Auction is 5 p.m. Nov. 16.

The menu includes all-you-can-eat chili (with or without spaghetti), hot dogs, veggies, drinks, and desserts. Chicken noodle soup will also be available for those who don’t eat chili.

Tickets purchased before Nov. 10 are $7 for adults, $3 for children ages 3 through 12, or a table of eight for $50. After that, prices will increase by $1 per person.

The evening also includes a Sugar ‘n’ Spice Booth, a Red Hot Pepper Booth (all items $5), other silent auction booths as well as a live auction, which follows later in the evening. The auctioneers are Dave and Mark McMullen.

Proceeds from the event will be used to repair and upgrade the lights in the parking lot and outreach missions. Living Christ Lutheran is at 4800 S. C.R. 600 E., Plainfield.

Plainfield Christianoffering classes

Plainfield Christian Church, 800 Dan Jones Road, offers step aerobics fitness classes from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Classes are offered year-round and are free of charge. No pre-registration is necessary. Childcare is provided for ages 1 through 11 at $1 per child.
