Oglesby, a sophomore, has several years to improve his grappling skills and, according to coach Moss, the sky’s the limit for a wrestler that exhibits so much raw potential.
“He’s been under the radar a lot and hasn’t been ranked for a long time,” Aaron Moss said. “We kind of wanted it that way. He’s wrestled the No. 4-ranked kid to two overtime matches. He’s just young and strong. He’s the second strongest kid in Ben Davis High School as a sophomore. We expect a lot from Norman. He’s a great kid to work with and we’re excited for the future for him.”
Ben Davis sent four wrestlers to the finals with a split result. Daniel McCarty (106) and Lydy (145) each came away as runners-up.
Also advancing to the Mooresville regional for the Giants are Jacob Wyncoop (113), Jaylen Roth (126), Gage Norris (152), Marcus Meridy (170), Gutierrez (195), and Dakota Williams (220).
