DANVILLE — Shoulder pain and discomfort are among the most common reasons people seek medical evaluation and treatment.
From 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 17, Dr. Chad Waits and Dr. Kyle Ritter, orthopedic surgeons with Hendricks Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, will review and discuss a variety of causes for shoulder pain and available treatment options, including common shoulder injuries and treatments; rotator cuff tears and treatment; shoulder arthritis; and shoulder replacements.

Waits received his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He went on to complete a sports medicine fellowship at Wellington Orthopedics/University of Cincinnati where he also provided medical coverage for the Cincinnati Bengals football team and the University of Cincinnati Athletic Department. Waits specializes in arthroscopic surgeries, fracture management, joint replacement and tendon and ligament reconstruction/repair.
Ritter graduated from the University of Evansville and the Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City. Ritter completed his fellowship training in sports medicine at Wellington Orthopedics and University of Cincinnati. He also has provided medical coverage for the Cincinnati Bengals football team and the University of Cincinnati Athletic Department.
