Two main sponsors for the event are IU Health West and Hendricks Regional Health (HRH).
IU Health West President and CEO Matt Bailey said this event is a perfect avenue for partnership between the two hospitals.
“Hendricks County is fortunate to be served by two high-quality, highly regarded hospitals,” he said. “As we transition into an era of accountable care with a focus on population health, there is clearly a place for collaboration for the greater good — even between institutions that compete for business. Partnership in supporting selected community events and initiatives, particularly those that speak to the health priorities identified in community health risk assessment surveys, is a forward-thinking approach I hope might be a model for other Indiana counties with multiple hospitals serving its residents.”
HRH President and CEO Kevin Speer said the hospital is happy to be able to support Susie’s Place.
“As an integral part of the Hendricks County community, Hendricks Regional Health takes great interest in the health and well-being of our children,” he said. “In late 2007, our hospital was involved in the initial talks to develop Susie’s Place and child advocacy services in Hendricks County. The work that is done at Susie’s Place is exceedingly important and we are proud to continue supporting this service in our community.”
Amy Hayworth, who is a member of the Avon Kiwanis Club and is the other acting co-chair for the event, said Susie’s Place is a great organization for the club to help.
“Susie’s Place services not only Hendricks County, but all of Indiana,” she said. “Because they are funded primarily from grants and donations, we feel it is such a vital importance to our children that this event, our largest fundraising event of the year, goes toward their services.”
Tickets for the event are $75 per person. To purchase tickets, visit the website at www.susiesplace.org or call 272-5696.
