In this comedy, several affluent couples gather in the posh suburban residence of a couple for a dinner party celebrating their 10th anniversary. When they arrive, they discover there are no servants, the hostess is missing, and the host — the deputy mayor of New York City — has shot himself through the earlobe. Comic complications arise when, given everyone’s upper-class status, they decide they need to do everything possible to conceal the evening’s events from the local and the media.
John D. Carver directs these comic hijinks. Indianapolis audiences may remember his previous BCP productions of “Bus Stop” (2011) and “Escanaba in da Moonlight” (2013). Joining Carver on the production team are Melissa DeVito (producer), Joe Siefker (technical director and co-sound designer), Donna Jacobi (costume designer), Jeff Rowand (lighting designer), Lauren Hanson (assistant producer), and Elizabeth Popplewell (stage manager). Carver also serves as co-sound designer.
This production has been rated PG-13, and parents are strongly cautioned due to adult situations, language, and humor.
