The Westside Chamber of Commerce will host a forum on the effects of the new Affordable Care Act on small and medium-sized businesses and what can be expected.
The forum is set for 8:30 a.m. April 25 at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center, 2930 Waterfront Parkway, West Drive. The venue is two stoplights west of I-465 on U.S. 136.
The forum participants will include:
• Brose McVey, CEO of Expedite Healthcare, a professional medical services direct-pay provider;
• J.K. Wall, medical beat reporter with the Indianapolis Business Journal; and
• Joe Gilbert, vice president of sales for Anthem Blue Cross-Blue Shield and an expert on the ACA exchange.
David Shank, APR, chamber board member and president/CEO of Shank Public Relations Counselors, will moderate the forum discussion.
“Our ACA forum will offer west side business people an unusual opportunity to hear experts share their knowledge of what will be the next impacts of the act on small and medium-sized businesses,” Rick Proctor, chamber president and vice president at BMO Harris Bank, said in a press release. “We encourage forum attendees to bring their ACA questions to this event.”
A continental breakfast will be available. Expedite Healthcare is sponsoring the program.
The mission of the West Side Chamber of Commerce is to promote vibrant, sustainable economic development and strengthen the quality of life on the west side.
