The Unitarian Universalist Community Church in Danville will offer an adult Credo discussion in the church fellowship hall at 9 a.m. Aug. 18. Newcomers are always welcome.

Children participate in the adult worship service for the first 15 or 20 minutes, and then go to their religion education classes.

At 10 a.m., the Rev. Lynda Smith will present “Composing the Life We Want.”

Worship services at UUCC are varied in subject and in form and can include sermons, panel discussions, and congregational discussions on religious and moral issues, and intergenerational celebrations.

St. Malachy will

host bingo event

St. Malachy Altar Society is sponsoring a Longaberger Basket Bingo event on Sept. 29.

Bingo begins at 2 p.m. with doors opening at 1:30 p.m.

A basic bingo ticket is $10 at the door or $8 pre-sale. It includes 10 bingo games, two intermission games, and raffle tickets. A pre-sale bundle ticket costs $18 or a $20 bundle packet at the door. This bundle includes 10 bingo games, two intermission bingo games, and three raffle tickets.

To reserve pre-sale tickets, call Sara Foust at 809-4069.

Proceeds of this event will go to the St. Malachy Altar Society.

‘Heavenly Harp’

concert is Aug. 19

Karin and Joy Gunderson, a mother-daughter musical duo known as Heavenly Harp, will give a free concert at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 19 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 801 S. Green St., Brownsburg.

Karin will also relate inspiring stories from her work as a harpist for a hospice. The Gundersons will play harp duets, sing together, and add occasional flute accompaniment.

There is no admission charge, but offerings are accepted.
