“My sophomore and freshmen guys who were filling in different weights did a great job on the mat,” Catellier said. “I congratulated them just now on their effort and I can’t ask for more from those first-year wrestlers.”
Both teams have tournaments this weekend and conference matches before heading to the Hendricks County tournament next weekend. Avon will be shooting for its ninth consecutive county title.
“I told our kids going into Thanksgiving that our schedule would be brutal and that’s what it is,” Blevins said. “We like the competition. We’re proud to have that.”
