Avon junior Conner Funkhouser led the team with 15.4 ppg on 51 percent shooting this season while pulling down 5.7 rebounds per contest. Along with fellow big man Aaron Bode (7.7 ppg, 6.4 rpg), who connected on 50 percent shooting, the Orioles often went as the pair did, finishing the year at 10-12.
The final three schools added a player each to the all-county squad.
Cascade’s Hayden Suter (14.7 ppg, 3.2 rpg) forced other teams to stop him as the Cadets’ main scoring threat, shooting 44 percent on the season. The sophomore shot 71 percent from the free throw line as Cascade ended the year 7-15.
Plainfield’s Max Kurkowski is the only freshman to make the list and was the Quakers’ leading scorer with 9.8 ppg while shooting 45 percent from behind the arc and 77 percent from the line.
Bethesda’s Malik Roper( 9 ppg , 4.3 rpg) hit 46 percent of his shots to lead the Patriots. The senior shot 82 percent from the line and averaged almost two assists and steals per contest.
