CLAYTON — MCOSC holds registration
The Mill Creek Optimist Soccer Club is offering soccer registrations for the spring soccer season through the month of February.
The MCOSC offers both Recreational and Recreational Plus soccer for both girls and boys, ages 4 to 18, during both the spring and fall, regardless of skill or ability.
The MCOSC does not hold tryouts, but simply extends a general invitation to all children in the Mill Creek area to participate.
The Rec Division for players ages 4 to 10 is an interclub program that utilizes small-sided games. It begins the week of April 8 and ends June 1.
The RecPlus Division for players ages 10 to 19 offers the players a competitive experience while providing a venue to have fun. The RecPlus division also participates in the WCSSF and plays other clubs in the area. Practice begins in March with games starting in April.

CYL holds sign-ups
The Cascade Youth League is holding sign-ups for the 2013 season from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cadet Center Feb. 2, 9, and 16.
That includes T-ball, 6U and 8U baseball, 8U softball, minors/majors baseball, 10U, 12U, 14U and 18U softball, and Babe Ruth (13 to 15 year olds).
Evaluations for each is on Feb. 23 with attendance being mandatory for all participants. There are no evaluations for T-ball.
Cost is $35 for T-ball, $45 for 6U/8U baseball and 8U softball, $55 for minors/majors baseball, and 10U, 12U, 14U and 18U softball, and $75 for Babe Ruth.
Optional fees include a $20 concession stand opt out, $15 parent shirts (available at sign-ups only), and $5 on-line registration fee (per transaction).

DPRD holds hoops tourney
The Danville Parks and Recreation Department is hosting its fourth annual 3-on-3 basketball league/tournament beginning Feb. 5 with games at 6 p.m. Tuesdays.
The league/tournament runs through February and March and participants must be 16 or older to participate.
Cost is $20 per team and the entry deadline is Feb. 1.

RPBC holds fundraiser
The Red Pride Booster Club is holding its sixth annual Monte Carlo Night fundraiser from 6:30 to 11 p.m. Feb. 16 at Plainfield Metropolis Mall.
Admission is $5, which includes food and beverages.
Games will include black jack, roulette, Texas poker, over/under, and side pick-up games.
A Texas hold ‘em tournament starts at 7 p.m. with a $30 buy-in for 10K chips; $5 gets an additional 5K in chips. Chips must be purchased prior to the start of the tournament.
Raffle tickets are available at the school through Athletic Director Dana Green and are $25. The drawing will be at 10:30 p.m. and winners do not need to be present to win.
Proceeds will benefit Plainfield High School student-athletes and provide college scholarships to graduating senior athletes.
DGSA holds sign-up
The Danville Girls Softball Association is holding its 2013 spring registration.
Cost is $40 for 6U coach pitch, $65 for 8U coach pitch, $80 for 12U fast pitch, and $80 for 14U fast pitch.
The season runs from April to June.

USAI holds sign-ups
The United Soccer Alliance of Indiana is accepting registration for the spring Community Rec League for U4 to U18 children. USAi U4 to U12 are same-sex small-sided teams. The U13 and U14 are same sex and the U15 to U18 teams are coed in the Rec Plus League.
USAi Community Rec Program offers two programs: one based in Avon/Brownsburg and another in Pike Township. USAi plans divisions for Soccer Tots, U5, U6, U7, U8, U10, and U12. The U10 and U12 programs may play some games at home and some games away at another USAi soccer complex.
USAi Community REC PLUS Program offers two programs: one based in Avon-Brownsburg and another in Pike Township with all teams playing in the local WCSSF Rec Plus league. There will be divisions for U13 to U18. Rec Plus is truly its own level of competition. It is not recreational and is not travel. It’s competitive yet without the time and financial commitment of classic travel teams.

DBB offers winter camp
The Danville Baseball Boosters are hosting a winter camp Feb. 23 at Danville Community High School under the direction of new DCHS head coach Brady Armstrong, along with his staff and players.
Two sessions are offered. Session one is from 9 a.m. to noon for third- to fifth-graders and session two is from 1 to 4 p.m. for sixth- through eighth-graders.
