AHSQC hosts cancer fundraiser

The Avon Quarterback Club and Avon Football is helping the NFL raise Cancer Awareness.

The Avon High School Quarterback Club is coordinating with the National Football League and the Avon High School business department to raise money for the American Cancer Society through its Crucial Catch campaign.

Crucial Catch is an effort by the NFL to raise cancer awareness and money for the American Cancer Society.

At Avon’s Aug. 30 football game against Westfield, the AHSQC will raise cancer awareness and money for the ACS while showing their support by being dressed in pink.

During the game against Westfield, fans will have an opportunity to purchase “shout outs” in honor of a loved one or cancer survivor.

A silent auction will be held for four Tickets to a Colts home game, as well as an Andrew Luck signed mini Colts helmet.

All profits from the evening, as well as sales of the shirts are being donated to the American Cancer Society.

Pink T-shirts will be on sale for $10 starting Aug. 27 at the high school, while supplies last.
