---- — BHS holds halftime contest
The Brownsburg High School DECA Club is holding a wing eating contest at halftime of the Brownsburg versus Fishers boys’ basketball game.
Participants will range from students in the ninth to 12th grades, a Brownsburg High School staff member, and a member of the community.
Local players honored
Two local athletes garnered nominations from the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference in women’s soccer.
Brownsburg’s Kayla Dragstrem was named to the All-HCAC second team while Avon’s Rachel Lucas was named to the HCAC sportsmanship squad.
Dragstream was second on the team in scoring with seven goals and 16 points with two assists.
Lucas started all 18 matches this season.
Danville hosts swim-a-thon
The Danville High School boys’ and girls’ swim teams are hosting a swim-a-thon from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 7 in honor of late high school nurse Debbie Davis.
Cost is $5 per person per hour or any higher donations.
Half of the proceeds will go to the Debbie Davis scholarship fund for an aspiring nurse and the remaining proceeds benefit the swim teams.
Baked goods, T-shirts, games and activities for all ages will be available.

PWC offers sign-up
The Plainfield Wrestling Club is holding sign-ups for wrestlers in kindergarten through fifth grade.
Cost is $65 for the season or $50 for those who attended camp and includes a dri-fit long-sleeved shirt.
Practices will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Plainfield High School wrestling room.
Team and individual competitions will be available throughout the season when applicable.

Pacers legend holds signing
Bobby “Slick” Leonard and sports author Lew Freedman will be signing copies of their book Boom, Baby!: My Basketball Life in Indiana from noon to 4 p.m. Dec. 7 at the 11th annual Holiday Author Fair at the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Indiana History Center.
