The team also lost a tough match to Greenwood, 3-2. Winners for the Quakers were Camden East, Paul Planker, Matthew Stone, Alex Kessinger and Truman Purtell.

The boys’ soccer team defeated Clark Pleasant, 5-1. Scoring for the Quakers were Connor Paterniti, Kamden Shepard, Stone Felty and Alfredo Mauris. Assists were made by both Paternitis’ and Felty.

The team also beat rival Chapel Hill, 3-2. Connor Paterniti, assisted by brother Colin, scored a header early in the first half. Later down by one, Jacob Kolditz responded as he and Stone Felty took a driving run to tie the game. Connor Paterniti took it up the middle with a strong bridge to score the winning goal.

The girls’ soccer team had a 5-1 victory over Clark Pleasant. Goals were scored by Dakota Dorsett, Madison Chandler, Lauren Taylor and Emily Horsting.

The team followed that with an 8-0 win over Chapel Hill.

The seventh-grade volleyball team beat Chapel Hill, 25-6, 25-9. Mackenzie Dostin served 14 points in a row in the first game.

The team also defeated Martinsville East, 25-21, 25-23. Standouts included Betsy Nichols, Katie Daum, Emma Lane and Valerie Priar.

The eighth-grade girls’ volleyball team won in a close match against Chapel Hill, 25-21, 17-25, 15-12.

The seventh-grade A football team lost to Whiteland, 14-8 in overtime. The Quakers had TD by Ben Slaton, who then connected with Austin Farris for the two-point conversion, tying the game at the end of regulation. In overtime, the Quakers got to the goal line, but were unable to score, and the Warriors scored on the next possession.

In B game action, the Quakers lost, 6-0.

In eighth-grade A-game action, Plainfield lost to Whiteland, 24-20.Scoring for Plainfield were Noah Whitaker on a 15-yard run, Dawson Anderson on a 60-yard run and Tyler Maple on a 68-yard pass from Davis Gellert. Maple also had a two-point conversion run. Ben Mullis recovered a fumble and Nick Mirabelli and an interception.

In the B game, Plainfield lost, 20-0.
