Danville

The seventh-grade volleyball team lost to Avon South, 11-25, 20-25. Alicia Lombardo had three service points and two blocks; Meredith Perry had two service points, one ace and one block; Jessica McDugle had one service point and one ace; McKenzie Legan had one service point, one block and one kill; Kate Barton had one service point and one kill; Kaitlyn Allen had one service point and four digs; Mallory Delamarter had three digs; Annie Ashley had four digs; Malorie Kirk had two digs; Maddy Phipps had two digs; and Mickey Horner had two blocks.

The eighth-grade volleyball team lost to Avon South, 13-25, 25-24, 10-15. Libby Carlton had five service points and seven digs; Payton Shores had four service points, one ace, one kill and six digs; Ariel Mason had four service points, six kills and three blocks; Brandi Wasson had three service points, one ace and two kills; Lucy Chidester had three service points, four kills and one dig; Molly Gibbs had three service points, one ace, two kills, one block and three digs; Ashley Lattz had two service points and one kill; Meg Quandt had two service points, two aces and five digs; Claudia Ellis had four kills and four blocks; and Baylee Muse had one block.

Plainfield

The girls’ tennis team won 4-1 against Whiteland. Singles winners were Alyssa Rink and Sondra Vernengo. Doubles winners were Jayden Aurs and Kiersten Martin, and Claire Harper and Isabelle Vernengo. The doubles duo of Juliana Zlatniski and Hannah Snider won in reserves.

The team also lost to Greenwood 2-3, as Jayden Aurs and Kiersten Martin, and Claire Harper and Isabelle Vernengo won in doubles. Doubles tandem Juliana Zlatniski and Hannah Snider won in reserves.

The boys’ tennis team swept Whiteland, 5-0. Winners for the Quakers were Derek Wright, Camden East, Kyler Thomas, Matt Stone, Paul Planker, Jackson Knowles, Cade East, Brady Sinks and Alex Kessinger.
