In No. 3 singles action, the Flashes’ Allison Humbird beat the Quakers’ Arden Allen (6-2, 6-1). In No. 2 doubles action, the Franklin Central duo of Alexis Conner and Karina Swift beat Plainfield’s Bailey Jackson and Natalie Naaman (6-2, 6-4).
The Quakers’ team record currently sits at 5-1 after Wednesday’s victory over a Flashes team that won its past three sectionals.
“Right now I couldn’t be happier,” Bradley said. “In the 5-1 record we’ve had four very close matches and in those 3-2 matches it has been different positions stepping up different nights to win those points. What I’m most proud of is the girls are working hard in practice, we are making some changes to what we want to do, and all of the girls are listening and working hard.”
