“We tried to bunt and then use fake bunt and slap a little bit more,” Chasteen said. “We used the short game to try to get our timing back. Once we got our timing back, we started swinging away and extending through the ball.”
Senior Hannah Kelly threw all five innings for Danville in the second game. Stephens led the Warriors by going 3 for 4 with four RBI and two runs. Glaser went 4 for 4 with four RBI and three runs, and Butterfield went 2 for 4 with three RBI and two runs.
