Danville took a lead 32-29 with 2:40 left in the third on another Pickens TD.
However, Frankfort answered with a 17-yard TD reception by Zack Robinson, giving the Hot Dogs a 36-32 lead at the end of the third.
“Taking that opening drive in the second half and going down and scoring was big for us,” Quick said. “We went in up at half, then we came out and put a score on the board right away. They answered and we answered right back.”
Frankfort’s Brandenburg scored again with 9:05 left in the fourth quarter to make it 42-32.
Pickens, who ended the night with 290 yards rushing, again responded with another touchdown with 2:32 left in the game to make it 42-40, but the Warriors didn’t have enough time to do anything else.
