Lucas Oil Raceway happenings

WALLACE EXPERIENCE: Visitors to Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis this weekend can enjoy get an authentic taste of NASCAR with the Rusty Wallace Racing Experience.

The program features three ride-along packages starting at $99 and driving experiences that start at $249 and go up to $999, the latter of which includes being able to drive a Sprint Cup-style race car four rounds on the oval.

COMING NEXT WEEKEND: The 12th annual FueLab NMCA World Street Finals returns to Lucas Oil Raceway Oct. 11-13 for the series’ last points event of the 2013 season. The weekend will feature the sixth annual Chevrolet Performance LSX Shootout, drag racing, a car show, and swap meet.

The LSX Challenge Series is for street-based vehicles powered by Chevrolet’s LS and LSX engine family. All racers that are in points competition will compete in the final chance to solidify their place in the standings or clinch class championships.

COMING SOON: The NHRA Sportsman Fall Classic will be Oct. 18-20, and the Dragstrip Dash is Oct. 26. More information will be made available online at www.lucasoilraceway.com.

WILD WEDNESDAYS: Presented by IndyRPM.com and Indy Carmada, Lucas Oil Raceway’s Wild Wednesdays will run throughout October.

Wild Wednesday is open to all racers and offers a legal, controlled and fun environment (weather permitting). Gates will open at 5 p.m. with racing starting at 5:30 p.m. Cost is $20 to race and $5 for spectator admission.
