Warriors dominate Cadets

(Continued)

“In games where you can put certain goals in quickly, it does show the other team that we are not going to be comfortable, we’re not going to be satisfied,” Dowhen said.

Danville freshman Ella Davis scored the Warrior’s fifth goal in the 58th minute after winning a goal kick.

In the 60th minute, Burdsall scored her fourth goal of the game, as an attempted cross from the left side found the back of the net.

With four minutes remaining, sophomore Gabby McDuffee scored off Danville’s sixth corner kick of the night to cap the scoring at 7-0.

Adams said Cascade must work on playing better through adversity and knew Burdsall, who leads the state in points, would test the Cadets’ defense.

“Stephanie’s a great player,” Adams said. “She exploited our weaknesses.”
