DPRD hostinghoops tourney

The Danville Parks and Recreation Department is holding its annual “King of the Court” 3 on 3 basketball tournament.

The league begins Feb. 4 with games beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesdays through the end of March.

Participants must be 16 or older to play and the cost is $30 per team.

DPRD seekingdodgeball sign-up

The Danville Parks and Recreation Department is holding a dodgeball tournament Feb. 22.

The one-day, double elimination tournament begins at 1 p.m. and requires a $30 entry fee.

Teams may consist of seven players and may be co-ed. All participants must be 16 or older to play.

The entry deadline is Feb. 21.

Boosters holdingbaseball camp

The Danville Baseball Boosters are hosting a winter camp March 15 at Danville Community High School.

The third- through fifth-grade session runs from 9 a.m. to noon and the sixth- through eighth-grade session goes from 1 to 4 p.m.

DCHS varsity coach Brady Armstrong, along with his coaching staff and players, will direct the camp.

Registration forms are available online at www.danvillewarriorsbaseball.org.

To guarantee a camp T-shirt, registration forms must be in by March 1.

PSA acceptingsoccer sign-ups

The Plainfield Soccer Academy is currently holding registration for its newly formed league.

The fundamental-based league will include players from 5 to 12 years of age in a 5-versus-5 format that is conducive to more touches and development.

Cost is $65 and includes weekly practices, an eight-game season, and a tournament at the end of the season. Uniforms will be provided.
