LOR announces 2014 dragstrip schedule

(Continued)

The all motorcycle No Hatin’ Drag Racing Organization will hold four events at Lucas Oil Raceway, May 16 to 18, July 11 to 13, Aug. 8 to10 and September 26 to 28.

For twenty years, the Miracle Ride has benefitted Riley Hospital for Children. The motorcycle fundraiser will return May 31 to June 1.

Goodguys makes its triumphant return to Lucas Oil Raceway after a five year hiatus for a one-night-only Friday Night Drags event on June 6. Goodguys Friday Night Drags will feature special exhibition vehicles, sportsman racing, a show & shine and will be open to all years, makes and models of race cars.

Bellowing smoke and the rumble of diesel engines marks the return of the National Hot Rod Diesel Association’s Indiana Diesel Shootout on June 14.

The 10th Annual Jeg’s US Open Bracket Championship returns June 19 to 22. The four day, big-money bracket race features $20,000 to win races on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Taking a slight detour from the straight and narrow, two drifting events including Indy Drift (June 28 and 29) and Midwest Drift Union (October 4) will be held at Lucas Oil Raceway.

Leveraging Lucas Oil Raceway’s unique multipurpose facility, the Race 4 Time Performance Challenge features drag racing, autocross, road course and car show activities, July 19 and 20. This exciting event benefits the Riley Hospital for Children.

Drag racing’s rising stars will compete in the Midwest Junior Super Series, September 19 to 21. Lucas Oil Raceway hosts race six of the Midwest Junior Super Series’ seven race schedule.

Edge of your seat, all domestic door slammer action returns October 10 to 12 with the 13th Annual NMCA World Street Finals featuring the 8th Annual Chevrolet Performance LSX Shootout. Last year’s race saw Pro Street competitors exceed 250 mph in this high stakes race to determine series champions.

NHRA class racers looking to set a record, make one last blast down the dragstrip or earn a grade point before season’s end can do so at the NHRA Fall Classic National Open, October 17 to19. In addition to the NHRA categories contested, a Pro and Super Pro bracket race is held on Saturday and Junior Dragsters on Sunday.

Lucas Oil Raceway will release its 2014 Oval schedule after the New Year. For more information, visit the website at www.LucasOilRaceway.com or call 291-4090.
