Kyle Kirby (46), Brandon Bischof (52), Garhett Cook (51) and Eric Schmidt (52) combined for the Bruins’ 201. Also scoring were Dylan Keiser (52) and Levi Luzader (57).
Each coach felt there was an area both teams could use some improvement as they progress into the year.
“The biggest thing I’ve noticed this far is we need a lot of work from 100 yards and in,” Pemberton said. “That’s where you can really score in golf and that’s costing our guys a lot of shots right now. Not just putting, but with chips and mid-range shots and that’s something we will work on here in the very near future.”
Arthur believes his team left some shots out on the course as well and for the same reason.
“Everyone’s struggling with their short game even, Justin and Hunter at the one and two spots,” Arthur said. “Even their games are struggling a little bit there and it’s not where it should be at this point in the year.”
