BROWNSBURG — Football coaches say it’s never too early to teach players how to do things the right way, and 72 young Brownsburg Bulldogs now have a better understanding of what to expect when they hit the gridiron at the high school level.....more>>

    Avon Middle School captured the boys’ title and Brownsburg East took home the girls’ championship at Wednesday’s Hendricks County track and field meet.

    AVON — As a freshman in 2006, Avon No. 1 singles player Christina Riley had won her first 23 high school tennis matches entering the quarterfinals of the state tournament.

    FISHERS — As the Hoosier Crossroads Conference (HCC) girls’ track meet came to a close Tuesday, neither Avon or Brownsburg had captured a conference championship.

    AVON — As the groups from the Avon, Brownsburg, and Tri-West boys’ golf teams trickled onto the outside terrace of Prestwick Golf Club following the completion of their rounds Tuesday, one member of the No. 1-ranked Oriole team — Bryan Whitt — was the center of many congratulations from parents and players alike. Whitt, who shot a two-under 34 for the day, took it all in stride before getting in the back seat of a teammate’s car and riding home.

  • Plainfield track teams speed past Cascade
    PLAINFIELD — Tuesday’s meet with Cascade was Plainfield’s first on its home track this year, and the Quakers made sure it was a good one. The Plainfield boys took all but one event on their way to winning the meet 112-20, while the Quaker girls also fared well with a 90-41 victory.
