The Indiana Association of School Principals (IASP) recently recognized Frank Meyer, assistant principal at Avon High School, as the 2013 State Secondary Assistant Principal of the Year.
He was also named District Secondary Assistant Principal of District 8. District 8 is in west central Indiana and is made up of Clay, Greene, Hendricks, Owen, Parke, Putnam, Sullivan, Vermillion and Vigo counties.
The recognition ceremony is part of the 2013 Assistant Principals of the Year Recognition Celebration, held in conjunction with IASP’s annual Assistant Principal’s Conference.
The award was presented at a luncheon at the Indianapolis Mariott with IASP Executive Director Todd Bess and IASP Vice President Kelly Andrews presiding.
District Secondary Assistant Principals of the Year are elected by their peers. One principal is honored from each of the 12 districts. From those 12 District Secondary Assistant Principal winners, Meyer was recognized as the 2013 State Secondary Assistant Principal of the Year at the luncheon.
