Two Plainfield High School Seniors were awarded the Bright House Networks Future Leaders Laptop Scholarship. This scholarship was designed to recognize high school seniors in good standing in the Bright House Networks service area for their contributions to their schools and local communities.
Ryan Schuld and Scott Harrod were selected as recipients based on community service activities, leadership skills and an essay describing the importance of leadership and community service. They were awarded a laptop, carrying case and software all valued at $1,000
All 2014 applicants for the Future Leaders Scholarship must attend a high school in the Bright House Networks service area as a senior in good standing. Applicants must have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA. They must demonstrate leadership abilities in school activities or through work experiences. They must demonstrate a strong commitment to community service involvement. In addition to the completed application form, applicants must include a typed minimum 500 word essay describing the importance of leadership and community service.
