Tri-West Middle School teachers recently selected students of the month, based on the students’ effort, improvement in school work, class participation and special accomplishments in the classroom. Students selected were rewarded with gift certificates for a free spaghetti entree from Fazoli’s restaurant. Winners were:
Eighth grade — Lucas Engels, language arts; Hailey Hamilton, math; Bryce Wilson, science; Garrett Shaw, social studies; Kaylee Day and Peyton Tucker, health and wellness; Kenny Cox, band; Melina DeGolyer and Callee Hibler, choir; Derek Wagner, art; Ashley Berry, studio art; Skylar Jobe, technology; Brandon Roseboom, engineering design; Lexa Gilley and Sydney Wiles, family and consumer science; Hunter Diagostino, current events; and Lilly Johnson, Spanish.
Seventh grade — Taylor Schmidt, language arts; Payton Waling, math; DeShawn Doss, science; Brock Whitfield, social studies and technology; Matthew Cox and Natasha Carlton, health and wellness; Mitchell Medley, band; Zoe Sanford, choir; Malia Kolditz, art; Zach Jeter and Betsy Watts, family and consumer science; and Josie McClara, leadership development.
Sixth grade — Sarah Pahl, reading and math; Emma Harris, English; Jacob Clements, science and health and wellness; Delaney Orange and Evan McCullough, social studies; Jenna Hill, health and wellness; Mallory Arnot, band; Mary Koskey, choir; Savannah Joiner, art; Michael Myers, technology; and Austin Garber and Luke Robertson, family and consumer science.
Each team of teachers also selects one student as the overall student of the month for each grade. Those students received a $10 McDonald’s gift card.
