Tri-West Middle School teachers recently selected students of the month, based on the students’ effort, improvement in school work, class participation and special accomplishments in the classroom for that month.
Selected students were rewarded with gift cards from Chick-fil-A. Recipients were:
Eighth grade — Zach Waters, language arts; Bryce Plichta, math; Alexis Chasteen, science; David Meyer, social studies and family & consumer science; Madison Hughes and Ethan Wolfenberger, health & wellness; Brandi Brooks, band; Caleb McIntire and Brittany Lausas, choir; Riley Hockaday, art; Taylor Byrd, studio art; Hope Fretz, technology; Maya Sears, engineering design; Garrett Saathoff, family & consumer science; Bryce Miller, current events; and Payton Nickoli, Spanish.
Seventh grade — Mia Duvall, language arts; Anna Ritchotte, math; Kamren Miller, science; Mitchell Medley, social studies; Josie McClara and Tanner Waite, health & wellness; Kate Taina, band; Isaac Brown, choir; Jackson Williams, art; Zoe Sanford, technology; Payton Waling and Carli Wilson, family & consumer science; and Clayton Coll, careers.
Sixth grade — Bryson Gilley, reading and math; Emma Swadner, English; Abby Pickens, science; Sarah Pahl, social studies; Ashton Cloud and Noah Smith, health & wellness; Max Kelly, band; Emma Harris, choir; Dylan Gifford, art; Grant Hogan, technology; and Hannah Medley, Tyler Swinford and Alexa Williams, family & consumer science.
Each team of teachers also selects one student as an overall student of the month for each grade. Those students each received a $10 iTunes gift card for their overall performance during the month.
Chosen for that honor were eighth-grader David Meyer, seventh-grader Josie McClara and sixth-grader Bryson Gilley.
