Wilma Jean Doty of Plainfield died Tuesday at Sugar Grove Senior Living in Plainfield. She was 90 and had formerly resided in Poultney, Vt.
Born March 17, 1922, in Low Hampton, N.Y., she was a daughter of Joseph and Mary Soucek Vladyka. She was the widow of Eugene L. Doty, who died in 1996.
Mrs. Doty worked several years as an inspector at a dress factory.
She was a member of the St. Raphael Catholic Church in Poultney.
Survivors include daughters Janet Mahan and Patricia Van Guilder; a brother, Gerald Vladyda; six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were five brothers and five sisters.
A funeral mass is set for 2 p.m. Monday at St. Susanna Catholic Church, 1210 E. Main St., Plainfield, with Father Glenn O’Connor officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Poultney Cemetery.
Calling at the church is for an hour prior to mass.
