Richard Edwin Hummell

Richard Edwin Hummell of Indianapolis died Sunday at Hendricks Regional Health in Danville. He was 90.

Born Jan. 9, 1922, in Decatur, Ill., he was a son of Ralph Hurey and Geneva Maude Nientker Hummell.

Mr. Hummell graduated from the Indiana School for the Deaf in 1943. During World War II he worked at Goodyear in Akron, Ohio.

Survivors include his stepson, Paul (Susan) Hocker, and his children, Darla (Correy) Lennox, Alan (Kimi) Hocker and Kim Van Zuilen (Bert Pickell); and a stepdaughter, Patricia (Jack) Powers, and their son, Matthew Powers.

Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery in Decatur, Ill., with no local services to be held.
