Nina Burger of Pittsboro died Tuesday. She was 85.

Born July 25,1927, in Edgar County, Ill., she was a daughter of the late Russell H. and Jessie Lorene (Sterling) Gericke. She married Lowell Burger in Clinton, Ill., on May 3, 1943, and they moved to Pittsboro in '46.

Survivors include sons George L. Burger, Ronald R. Burger and wife Sandy, and Michael A. Burger and wife Rita; a daughter, Carolyn J. Ware and husband Bill; sisters Shirley R. Riddle and Connie Sisil; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husband; a son, Richard A. Burger; and a brother, Russell I. Gericke.

Services are 12:30 p.m. Friday at David A. Hall Mortuary. 220 N. Maple St., Pittsboro. Entombment will follow at Lincoln Memory Gardens.

Calling at the mortuary is from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday.
