William H. Jamison

William H. Jamison died Saturday at his Coatesville home. He was 88.

Born Oct. 26, 1924, in Hull, Texas, he was a son of the late William H. Jamison Sr. and Maude Mae Young Jamison. He married Bonnie Jane Biehl and she died Feb. 18, 2006.

Mr. Jamison was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II. He was a family business owner of Coatesville Farm Supply Company Inc. and was formerly the chief of the Coatesville Fire Department.

He was known as an exceptional storyteller, was a member of the Coatesville United Methodist Church, and a member and past master of the Plainfield Masonic Lodge.            

Survivors include a daughter, Connie Bartee of Coatesville; a son, William A. Jamison and wife Cheryl of Clayton; grandchildren Becky Trivett, Brenda Shaw, Laura Monday, Bonnie Craig, Billy Jamison, and Bryan Jamison; great-grandchildren Danielle and James Trivett, Ethan and Mason Monday, Hadley, Lydia, Will, and Ellie Jamison, and Stephen and Matthew Shaw; a sister, Joann Zinn of Greensburg; and brothers Lou Ronald Jamison of Florida and Jerry P. Jamison of Lafayette.

Preceding him in death was a sister, Zoie Kramer.

Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Bousley-Hays Funeral Home in Coatesville with the Rev. Brenda Ann Bartee Shaw officiating. Interment with military honors will be at the Coatesville Cemetery.

Calling is from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Coatesville Volunteer Fire Department.
