Carl L. Reed of Plainfield died Thursday in his residence. He was 90.
Born Jan. 4, 1923, in Fairfield, Ill., he was the son of LeRoy and Jessie Stine Reed. He married Virginia M. Ginter Reed and she preceded him in death on Jan. 10, 2013.
Mr. Reed owned the Plainfield Tire Center until retiring in 1985. He was a member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church and the Scottish Rite in Indianapolis.
Survivors include his sons, Monte L. Reed of Noblesville, Walter G. Reed of Avon, and Robin D. Reed of Camby; brother, Rev. Donald Reed of Omaha, Neb.; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services are noon Sept. 7 in Hall-Baker Funeral Home, Plainfield, with burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Calling will be from 10 a.m. until the service in the funeral home.
