Arnold Quintine (Tine) Farmer of Danville

Arnold Quintine (Tine) Farmer of Danville died Friday at his home. He was 78.

Born Feb. 19, 1935, in Morgan County, he was the son of Robert Lee and Dorval Poe Farmer. He was the fifth child of 12. He married Sherry Lynn Morphew on April 5, 1958, and she survives.

Mr. Farmer attended Quincy (Ind.) High School. Farmer Brother’s Radio & TV Service was the family business where he worked until he joined the Army in 1958. An entrepreneur, he owned Tine’s TV Service and Carwash, Speedway Texaco Service, and various other endeavors over the years. His memberships included Plainfield Christian Church.

Also surviving are two daughters, Tina Farmer Blake and husband Robert of Greensburg and Shellie Farmer Driggers and husband Steve of Avon; two sons, Kipp Farmer of Danville and Jason Farmer and wife Amanda of Indianapolis; grandchildren Joshua Jones, Travis Farmer and wife Chelsie, Samuel Driggers, Garett Farmer, Alexandra Farmer, Jordan Miller, Danielle Blake, Nicole Blake, and Mariah Blake; a great-grandchild, Gage Jones; brothers James, Norman, Joseph, Harry, and Walter; and sisters Joyce, Betty, and Karen.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Robert and Dorval Farmer, and brothers Robert, Arthur, and Ronald.

Services are 5 p.m. Aug. 30 at Plainfield Christian Church, 800 Dan Jones Road, with visitation there from 3-5 p.m.
