Elena Mae Finchum died Nov. 3. She was 80.
Born in Edmonson County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Jess and Chlorene White. She married David Finchum and he preceded her in death.
Mrs. Finchum was the sales manager for the women’s division of Silhouette Health Studios for 33 years. She was also a member of Pittsboro Baptist Church.
She is survived by two children, David Finchum, Jr. (Cheryl), Carmelita Davis (Blake); daughter-in-law Theresa Finchum; brothers Porter White (Minnie), J.P. White (Cindy), Roy White, sister Margie Seyferth (Joe), 5 grandchildren, Christopher Finchum (Laurie), Matthew Finchum, Brent Finchum (Stacy), Josh Davis and Caleb Davis; and 8 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Deborah Finchum, a son Christopher Finchum, a sister Zolena White, brothers Randall White, Eugene White, Curtis White, Duval White, and Mills White.
Services will take place at 11 a.m. Nov. 6 at Pittsboro Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Bethesda Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 5 at Matthews Mortuary in Brownsburg.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Pittsboro Baptist Church in Mrs. Finchum’s memory.
