Thelma Daggs McInnes Tankersley of Avon died Thursday at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was 94.
Born Jan. 29, 1919, in Excelsior, Ark., she was the daughter of the late James David and Augusta Elizabeth McConnell Daggs. She married Raymond Earl McInnes and John Alfred Tankersley Jr., and both preceded her in death.
Mrs. Tankersley was a retired executive secretary from Macklanburg-Duncan Company.
Survivors include two sons, Eddie McInnes of Tulsa, Okla., and David McInnes and wife Pat of Avon; one daughter, Karen Brown and husband David of San Antonio, Texas; one sister, Inez Bona of Hartford; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Flora Mae Pickle and Bertie Belle O’Brien, and one brother, Raymond Bradford Daggs.
Graveside services are 1 p.m. Oct. 24 at Hartford Memorial Park under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be 4-8 p.m. Oct. 23 at the funeral home.
