Judith Kay “Judy” Ward of Brownsburg died Saturday in her residence. She was 74.
Born Oct. 10, 1938, in Danville, Ill., she was the daughter of Donald L. and Edith S. Peterson Foster. She married Keith D. Ward on Nov. 1, 1958, in Speedway United Methodist Church. He survives.
Mrs. Ward graduated from Speedway High School and then attended Indiana University, where she was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority. She was a court reporter for Judge Boles for 10 years before retiring in 2012. She had previously worked more than 20 years for Wean, Andrews and Co. in accounting.
Also surviving are a son, Steven (Beth) Ward of Avon; daughter, Kimberly Ward of Avon; brother, Jerry (Peggy) Foster of Sebring, Fla.; sister, JoAnn Moss of Bradenton, Fla.; grandchildren, Jennifer (Jeff) Mull, Tyler Ward, Lauren Ward, and Karissa Ward; and great grandchildren, Savannah and Ashtyn Mull.
Her daughter, Lisa Kay Ward Rader, preceded her in death.
Services are 1 p.m. Sept. 27 in Baker Funeral Home, Danville, with burial to follow in Danville South Cemetery. Calling is 4-8 p.m. Sept. 26 in the funeral home.
