David L. Roberson of Avon died Thursday. He was 82.
Born May 16, 1931, he was the son of Earl and Hazel (Ross) Roberson. He married Dorothy Miller in 1954 and she survives.
Mr. Roberson graduated from Ben Davis High School in 1949 and served in the Navy from 1950-54 during the Korean War. He later earned a bachelor of science degree at Indiana University and worked as a controller for Harcourt Clinic of Indianapolis and National Car Rental, retiring in 1993.
His memberships included the Plainfield Elks, Plainfield Masonic Lodge, and Bartlett Chapel United Methodist Church.
Also surviving are two sons, David Roberson Jr. of Indianapolis and Edward (Stacey) Roberson of Brownsburg; a brother, Norman Roberson of Brownsburg; a sister, Clara Mae Dunham of Indianapolis; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
Services are 11 a.m. Aug. 28 at Bartlett Chapel United Methodist Church, with visitation there 4-7 p.m. Aug. 27. Cremation will follow and interment will be announced at a later date. Weaver & Randolph Funeral Home, Danville, is handling arrangements.
