Charles E. “Charlie” Ramsey of Camby died March 29. He was 79.
Born Nov. 7, 1934, in Dexter, Ky., he was the son of the late John C. and Nellie M. (Jones) Ramsey. He married Adell (Rose) Ramsey and she survives.
Mr. Ramsey was an assembler at General Motors Truck and Bus in Indianapolis for more than 30 years retiring in 1991. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Local 23.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Betty (Charles) Brooks, Estel Glenn Young (Tina Clark), Kelly Dean (Sherry) Young, Linda F. (Dave) Bennington, and Lisa Marchino; 19 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; sisters, Nell (Joe) Wilson and Mary Jo Mitchell; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Julia Harrell and Donna Faye Downing; and brothers, Mark, Ewin, and Rex Ramsey.
Services will be at 1 p.m. April 5 in Flanner and Buchanan-Decatur Township with Estel Glenn Young officiating. Burial will be in Floral Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. April 4 and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the funeral home.
