Hendricks County Flyer
Frank Gentry of Jamestown died March 8 in Homewood Health Campus. He was 78.
Born May 31, 1935, in Indianapolis, he was the son of the late John R. and Virginia (Brown) Gentry. He married Joy (Medford) Gentry on May 16, 1955. She survives.
Mr. Gentry retired from Indiana Bell after 37 years of service. He also farmed.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Wendell Gentry of Greenfield, Leanna (Kevin) Miller of Lebanon, and Melinda (Jeff) Smith of Martinsville.; grandchildren, Melissa (Ryan) Wood, Travis (Amanda) Miller, and Brandon (Jessica) Miller all of Lebanon, Mitch Gentry of Belleville and Brayton Smith, Bailee Smith and Braxton Smith all of Martinsville; great grandchildren, Garrett Miller, Grace Miller, Gage Miller, Blake Miller, Emma Miller, Landen Miller, Tate Wood, and Ross Wood; siblings, John E. (Toni) Gentry of Evansville, Tom (Anita) Gentry of Georgia, and Hazel Williams of Danville.
Services will take place at noon March 11 in Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street in Lebanon, with the Rev. Larry Lilly officiating. Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery in Jamestown.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service in the mortuary.
