Rex T. Carder of Plainfield

Rex T. Carder of Plainfield died Nov. 23 in Plainfield. He was 89.

He was born July 15, 1924, in Kentucky. He married Shirley Rose Battershell in 1949 and she survives.

Mr. Carder worked in the bridge business for over 35 years with the sales of expansion joints. He was a member of Plainfield Elks Lodge 2186, Eagles Aerie 3207, and Masonic Lodge 653.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Michael T. Carder; sister, Fern Bradburn; two grandsons; and one granddaughter.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Nov. 27 in Hall-Baker Funeral Home in Plainfield. Entombment will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery Mausoleum.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 26 in the funeral home.
