Jean Ann Woods of Cicero and formerly of Brownsburg

Jean Ann Woods of Cicero and formerly of Brownsburg died May 4. She was 80.

She married Marcus Woods and he survives. They were married for 48 years.

Before moving to Cicero three years ago, the couple resided in Brownsburg where they raised their family and were parishioners at St. Malachy Catholic Church.

A devout Catholic, Jean treasured the holidays and always brought the family together through traditions that will be passed down from generation to generation.

She was often found cooking elaborate feasts, caring for a house full of grandchildren, or participating at Sacred Heart of Jesus in Cicero.

Additional survivors include her children, Marcus II (47), Patrick (46), and Edith (45); daughter-in-law, Rachel (41); and seven grandchildren, Alexander, Nicholas, Elijah, Matthew, Joshua, Sophia, and Luke.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father, sisters, and brothers.

A Catholic funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. May 7 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church.

Visitation will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. May 6 in the church.

Arrangements were entrusted to Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel.

Online condolences may be made on the website at www.hartleyfuneralhomes.com.
